HI-Q Still An SA Favourite

National tyre retailer Hi-Q has been named South Africa’s best loved brand for the third year running, following independent consumer research by the Target Group Index (TGI) in its annual quest to find the most iconic brands in a variety of product categories. 

More than 15 000 randomly selected consumers were interviewed in the survey, representing over 18 million adults. In the tyre retail sector, consumers had to have purchased tyres in the preceding 12 months, to ensure recent first hand experience in their responses.

Hi-Q General Manager Andrew Bowren said the achievement showed that South African motorists recognised and believed in the values inherent in the brand’s promise that Hi-Q is “The One You Can Trust”.

“Two aspects in the current market affect all tyre retailers: these are tough economic times and competition in the marketplace is stronger than ever. Consumers have a lot of options, they do their research and are more knowledgeable than ever before. It is clear that they are wanting consistency, reliability, trustworthiness and value for money from their tyre retailer.

“Hi-Q has differentiated itself by delivering on all fronts. People trust our values and know exactly what to expect wherever they see our yellow and blue flags flying. Hi-Q has a large national footprint with a dealership on every main artery across the nation. The entire Hi-Q network deserves congratulations for this outstanding achievement,” Bowren said.

“Brands are not built overnight. This investment is continuously being developed on top of a solid foundation. What is vital, however, is that we adapt to the challenges of the times and stay in touch with our market.”
